Eating Manganese for Wellness
Manganese is considered as a cofactor for
enzymes and involves the process of hydrolysis, phosphorylation,
transamination and decarboxylation. The enzyme manganese enhances
the activities of transfeases like glutamine synthetase,
glycosyltransferase and superoxide dismutase. Manganese helps in
controlling the toxic of the blood and helps in the formation of
important hormones called insulin. This enzyme works as an
antioxidant and helps in maintaining healthy cellular membranes.
Vitamin C works effectively with the presence
of manganese and vitamin C helps in fighting against infections,
detoxifies the body and builds the level of collagen. The
existence of manganese encourages the production of these enzymes
for the effective functioning of vitamin C. Research done on
animals have proved that consumption of the poison hydralazine
without the presence of manganese, had made the animals to die.
The same research with animals has proved that the animals
supplemented with the diets rich in magnesium with the presence of
the poison hydralazine, had made them to survive. Hence, the
results have proved, that the detoxifying effect of vitamin C when
put to use with the magnesium has worked out.
Manganese promotes arginase and promotes
healthy functioning of the body. Ammonia a natural substance from
body will kill the human, if 1/1000 milligram is mixed in the
blood. The element arginase helps in combining ammonia and carbon
dioxide for the production of harmless urea. This urea is filtered
from the blood through the kidneys and excreted as urine. Beta
cells present in the pancreas necessitates insulin with the
presence of manganese. Insulin helps in the movement of sugar from
the bloodstream of the cells and diabetes is mainly due to the
non-existence of manganese. Researches done on 122 diabetes with a
similar age group has revealed that diabetes is twice as low in
the element manganese rather than those without the disease.
Manganese promotes choline a phospholipids and
it is produced in the liver. Activated choline and ATP promoted
acetyl choline. The constituent works as a neurotransmitter and
stimulates energy in the Krebs cycle. Manganese helps in the
stimulation of adrenaline and noradrenaline from the adrenal
glands and these glands helps in relieving stress. The
neurotransmitter dopamine needs the presence of manganese for
production. Decrease in the production of dopamine leads to the
disease of Parkinson and the use of additional dose of manganese
helps in the reduction of the disease.
Manganese is essential in the production of
insulin and eating of simple carbohydrates like white flour,
refined sugar, white rice helps in the secretion of insulin from
the pancreas out of the blood into the cells. Complex
carbohydrates present in the food like whole wheat flour, brown
rice does not require the expected quantity of insulin. The
insulin are secreted at a lesser and steady rate. The presence of
manganese is absent in carbohydrates and the body uses more
manganese for the metabolisation of carbohydrates. Consumption of
complex carbohydrates and various natural foods are considered the
best for maintaining good level of manganese.
The element manganese is present in legumes,
whole grains, nuts, tea, fruits and vegetables. Too much of
inhaling of the element are hazardous to the health of minors.
Excessive inhalation leads to the collection of manganese in the
brain, liver, spinal cord and causes diseases like Parkinson.
